HOTSTART’s OSE is a complete oil heating system designed to heat and circulate oil in small compressors. The OSE is also designed to prelube the compressor frame in applications with flow requirements up to 11GPM.
The heating system pulls oil from the compressor sump using a positive displacement oil pump. Oil is heated and circulated through the compressor lubricating system.
This eliminates the need for a supplemental prelube pump. Prelubing compressors with heated oil reduces condensation and supplies consistent pressure to the lubricating system with minimal variation in viscosity.
Compressors can benefi t from prelubing in both cold climates and high humidity climates where temperature variations can result in damaging condensation.
